Why I choose Software Engineering 1?

I have a lot of subjects to deal with before I graduate and finished my course and I'm glad that Software Engineering are one of those. Why I choose this? Besides of being prerequisite , there are reasons why. First, as IT student I need to know how to design software. Second, I want to know what are the steps or how we act when we conduct interview to the client. It is important to know because we are IT's.
